Inspired by and based on true events:
In pre-revolutionary Russia, a twenty-seven year old woman, nearly blinded by eleven years of hard labor in a Tsarist prison camp, will conspire with a group of Socialist Revolutionaries to assassinate Vladimir Lenin in a politically charged act of terror, in order to pay him for his autocratic moves towards a Communist state.
But do her co-conspirators trust her to get the job done? Can she trust them?
Fanya Kaplan was written, shot, and edited over the course of one week, and went on to win Best Picture at the national level of the world’s largest student film festival, Campus Movie Fest, as well as screen in the Cannes Film Festival’s Short Film Corner.
